You can support the Free Library of New Hope and Solebury with your time and talents.
The Library periodically accepts volunteer shelvers who can commit to a regular schedule. If you can donate an hour or two of your time once a week over the course of several months, we would love to have you join us.
Duties as a library volunteer include shelving materials, keeping the collection in order, cleaning DVDs and audio books, assisting during the summer reading program and helping the staff with other duties as needed. Potential volunteers should be able to lift up to 25 pounds and may need to stand for long periods of time.
In accordance with state law, all volunteers who work with children must obtain a new criminal background check and child abuse clearance certification. Volunteers are expected to cover the cost of the clearances.
To offer your services as a volunteer, please email the library with your name, contact information and your availability. Volunteers are accepted based on the library’s need. We will contact you if a time slot becomes available.
